Inspiration: Zenon- Girl of the Twenty First Century

Zenon was a girl of the 21st century

she and her stellar friends had some rockin hairstyles

and zetus lapetus! i'm not the only one inspired by this twenty first century space girl's futuristic style (and her intergalactic surroundings) 

Obsession/Inspiration: Lykke Li

Lykke Li (pronounced Lee-key Lee, not Likely) makes music that is as sleek and sassy (omg yes, sassy. i'm trying to keep with the alliteration) as her hair. 

I listened to both her albums, Youth Novels and Wounded Rhymes through all the trains and planes i went on during my 10 days in France. 

Inevitably, i started to almost nearly emulate her: parting my hair down the middle, making it as straight as possible, wearing monochromatic colors, piling jewelry on minimalist style clothing etc etc.

Sadness is a Blessing is such a beautiful music video. 

i absolutely love the blouse she wears. i tried to find a good photo of it but no cigar. 

Inspiration: Summer Goth

It's Summer time

the time of year for wearing bright oranges and yellows and floral prints and bikinis and sunshine and butterflies.

yet..

something sinister is in the air....

maybe i'm going goth like my dad thought i was when i dip dyed my hair green (wutevr, dad)...

i don't know why, but i can't stop craving to wear BLACK.

obsession: platform sneakers

When i was in the third grade, all the girls at my catholic elementary school wore chunky sole skecher sneakers. I, however, wore these red Italian sneakers my mom had bought me at TJ Max.

It wasn't until the following year in fourth grade that my mom let me buy some platform sneakers (they were on sale at Marshalls, of course). 

But, by that time, they were painfully untrendy and i embarrassingly wore them everyday.  

what i would do to have those sneakers again. 

Of course now everyone knows that creeperssss are the new "it thang" that all the "it girlzz" wear to all the "it partiezz".

Inspiration: Lizzie McGuire

Back in 3rd grade, Lzzie McGuire used to be the koolest kat on the block.
